What are kinetic systems? What are the important considerations for design, prototyping, programming and real-life implementation? How can they be created using digital fabrication? At the end of the CAS, students will be able to answer these questions and design a kinetic system using digital fabrication techniques and electronics. The CAS in Creating Kinetic Spaces explores how to design kinetic systems for physical spaces, with a focus on functionality and aesthetics. The program provides the core competencies on how to design for physical motion and digital control.
